Responsibilities May Include:
Ensure the overall safety of guests, staff, building and grounds.
Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
To provide first aid and CPR when necessary.
To evacuate areas of the hotel when required.
To report any fire or safety hazards correctly.
Ensure any violations to company policy are investigated and reported.
Ensure any violations to the law are reported.
To assist guests with queries regarding hotel facilities and surroundings.
To conduct regular patrols of the hotel.
To respond to any complaints or hostile situations while on duty.
Assist with cashing up.
Follow all hotel safety policies and regulations at all times.
Using Microsoft office to fill out daily reports and handovers.
Requirements
Previous experience in a security role is required.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft office.
Need to be First Aid qualified.
Highly responsible and reliable.
occasional lifting, kneeling, carrying may be required.
Must be able to remain calm during emergency situations.
Ability to assess the nature of a situation.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Be able to work different shifts when required including weekends, early mornings and nights.
SIA License may be required.
Salary Information
The starting salary for hotel security jobs is usually between £20,000 to £25,000 however salary offered can vary depending on the location and size of the hotel, as well as individual experience. If you are looking to progress your career and earn a higher salary, the next step up would be a role as a hotel security manager, which offers a starting salary of around £30,000.
