Purpose of the role To support the glh L&D strategy, carrying out all tasks required to ensure training needs are identified and suitable initiatives are developed and delivered to achieve the organisational goals. Working with the wider Learning & Development team to ensure employees have access to ‘best in class’ professional and personal development at every stage of their career with glh. Your responsibilities:

* Support the glh Learning & Development strategy

* Supports delivery of glh workshops as required

* Ensuring that all new employees receive structured onboarding

* Monitor progress of 30-day job chats, induction workbooks and 90-day review forms and ensure that all new hires are signed off within the relevant time frame

* Monitor quality assurance program scores and guest feedback. Take corrective action when necessary

* Work with hotel teams to observe employee performance, and carry out assessments to identify and address both employee and hotel development needs Provide feedback and coaching as required based on identified development needs

* Collaborate with General Managers and Head of L&D to identify opportunities and design training initiatives to improve service standards and guest satisfaction metrics Flow (Learning Management System)

* Administer Flow, including troubleshooting, maintaining correct access issues and liaising with Flow account manager to identify system improvements

* Monitor Flow compliance scores and work with Hotel Managers/HRBPs to ensure that all mandatory eLearning is completed

* Run monthly reports and communicate with hotel and Central Support Office teams

* Maintain online training calendar in line with the glh annual training plan

* Coordinating room bookings, room arrangements and attendance

* Ensure training attendance is recorded including uploading of external certificates

* Support the Head of L&D in curating online content for all employees to access on Flow

* Liaise with Function Heads to coordinate external training (e.g. Health and Safety) and ensure that courses are available to book via the online calendar Apprenticeships

* Support Head of L&D with apprenticeship reviews, tracking and progress updates

* Support in the successful delivery of quarterly networking events and graduation celebrations You will be required from time to time to support with additional L&D and wider HR initiatives and administrative duties as needed.

* Strong communication skills, including spoken and written English and excellent listening skills

* Demonstrable ability to negotiate and influence internal and external customers and employees

* Ability to confidently present information in one-to-one and small group situations to employees as well as internal and external stakeholders

* Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms. Previous experience of an LMS platform is desirable

* Ability to work cohesively as part of a team as well as self-motivate

Experience & Qualifications

* Previous experience in a similar role

* Experience of designing impactful training material

* Previous experience of conducting training needs analysis and training evaluation

* Learning & Development qualification or HR qualification; CIPD or equivalent (desirable)
