The Exciting Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join The Gantry London Curio Collection as a Sales Manager, located in the area's most famous sporting venues, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the heart of East London Stratford. The position is available on a full-time basis working up to 40 hours per week over five days. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry you may be expected to travel and work over the evenings and weekends.

This roles requires you attend work at the hotel everyday and also travel for sales calls and trips as per business needs.

What Are We Looking For?

We're looking for an individual who has attention to detail and great people skills. The Sales Manager contributes to RBH's goals and values by supporting the Director of Sales with managing sales and marketing function within the hotel. As a Sales Manager, your aim is to increase both corporate and leisure business into the hotel by researching, calling and visiting corporate companies within the area with a view to signing up contracts on a long-term basis. You will need to ensure that the new established client and agent relationships are maintained and managed.

This role involves working closely with the owning company to ensure that events and conference activity is captured by the hotel and to utilise joint marketing opportunities and entertaining where possible. At office level you will be a part of a small and friendly team, where your flexible hands on approach will be key. You will also be a part of a much bigger sales team externally to your office and will liaise with key account managers and other sales staff within the business.

You will ideally have a hotel background and must have some previous experience within a sales environment. You must have the confidence to negotiate rates with clients, to cold call for new company business and have a professional approach at all times. A good understanding of numeracy, budgeting and business planning is also preferred. This is a dynamic role where you can make it your own.

We're looking for an individual who has; - Passion to seek and generate new business into the hotel - Build relationships, work closely with external and internal partners as well as hotel staff -Be able to make business decisions confidently and quickly - Work as part of a team and be flexible to adapt to business needs - Ability to learn multiple IT systems and be computer literate.

The Gantry is due to open in November 2021 and will be an exciting 291 bedroom hotel with a sky bar boasting views across Queen Elizabeth Park and the London Skyline, a ‘speakeasy' basement bar, 1st floor destination bar and restaurant with 2 external terraces.
