The Principal London

The Principal London will open early 2018 following a multi-million pound refurbishment from top to toe.

Originally opened in 1898 by the Frederick Hotels Company, and designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll, The Principal London is a listed, landmark ‘grande dame’ that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The Principal London will combine the rich heritage of the original hotel with modern touches, vibrant bars and buzzing restaurants.

Sales Manager - Groups

This role involves a wide range of duties including:

* Proactively hunting for new business opportunities within an allocated market segment, through total account management to support all revenue streams

* Managing the relationships of a portfolio of existing account base, and penetrate accordingly to grow room nights, revenue and ADR

* Reach and exceed room night and revenue targets

* Think creatively to develop new ideas and strategies to continue driving new business

* Keeping track of London market trends and adapting sales strategy when necessary

* Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops and sales trips as required

* The role requires flexibility in working hours and location and the ability to manage time and resources across a large geographical area

* Supporting the promotion of other hotels within the group

As our Sales Manager you will:

* Have a proven track record and working knowledge of the UK market within the London luxury hotel scene, having previously executed sales calls within this territory

* Have a distinctive blend of confidence and personality to help give both our clients and guests an unforgettable experience

* Make intuitive decisions in favour of the guest and maintain the highest standards of service

* Have a naturally Warm and Generous personality

* Be articulate, confident and polished

* Be a good negotiator, and possess the ability to successfully close business through your determination to succeed

* You will have fantastic people skills and inspire others to perform

* Excellent command of spoken and written English along with demonstrable ability to communicate and influence credibly
