Sales & Event Specialist – Open Market

What is the main purpose of the role?

In this role you will work as a team to deliver a first class, professional booking management service, whilst maximizing revenue and achieving budgeted targets.

Our Agents will be responsible for the delivery of a “best in class” sales operation, through striving to exceed customer expectations by demonstrating true passion for our business in order to deliver great guest experiences, whilst ensuring our company mission, vision and values are at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities

Ensure all enquiries are responded to at the point of enquiry through live quoting where applicable and/or to be accountable for ensuring response times are adhered to
Ensure the customer journey is seamless and efficient exceeding customer expectations throughout
Expertly handle all types of negotiation and management of your live business on the books, recognising what is important to both the customer and the business whilst utilising conversion tools available
Confidently handle of all types of customers including both direct & agencies, understanding how to manage relationships across the two account types
Be confident with the company standard pricing matrix and to understand the pricing parameters available to you when quoting live
Be familiar with the escalation process for overriding rates, availability stacking & denied business
Personally responsible for following up on all enquiries and ensuring all chase activities are completed
Ensure any complaints are handled in the appropriate manner and escalated to the relevant level of management

The ideal candidate

We are looking for someone that has previous sales/customer service experience and can demonstrate the skills required in the handling of enquiries from various sources including Web Chat, Email, Web Enquiries & Phone.

You’ll have strong communication skills, the ability to manage high volumes of calls/enquiries and be confident in promoting the company, our brand in a professional manner and maximising all sales opportunities. You’ll also have excellent questioning techniques and listening skills.
