The Principal London

The Principal London will open early 2018 following a multi-million pound refurbishment from top to toe.

Originally opened in 1898 by the Frederick Hotels Company, and designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll, The Principal London is a listed, landmark ‘grande dame’ that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The Principal London will combine the rich heritage of the original hotel with modern touches, vibrant bars and buzzing restaurants.

Room Service Manager

The Room Service Manager role involves a wide range of duties including:

* Creating a Room Service team ensuring they have the best training and development in order to ensure our guests receive a distinctive service

* Work with the Food & Drink Manager to drive a revenue strategy for the department

* Ensure a close working relationship with the Front Office department to manage the departmental rota according to occupancy, ensuring efficient service

* Create and implement standards within the department

* Ensure service standard are consistently maintained across the department

As our Room Service Manager you will:

* Have a proven track record within a large luxury hotel

* Have a true passion for brilliant food and drink

* Be distinctive, confident and efficient

* Intuitive and professional with great organisational skills and time management

* Energetic with a passion to do a great job

* Have a natural warm and generous personality to truly support the team

* Have a can do attitude with natural leadership and motivational skills

* Ideally have pre-opening experience

* Have a good understanding of Micros
