We are looking forward to re-opening Lancaster House in line with Government guidelines on 17th May 2021.

We are now searching for dedicated and passionate individuals to join our enthusiastic and talented team to help create enjoyable and memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities for a Receptionist

* Meeting and greeting guests to ensure they receive a warm welcome, providing an efficient check in procedure, and ensuring all relevant information is communicated to facilitate their stay.

* Providing management information to the relevant departments, i.e. arrivals and departure lists, special requests

* Managing arrivals and departures to ensure guests’ accounts are correct and paid on time

* Ensuring the front of house areas are well maintained at all times

* Managing information for functions ensuring charges are correct and are invoiced correctly

* Assisting with switchboard enquiries, taking of reservations and restaurant bookings etc.

* General knowledge about the local area to be able to assist guest queries

Requirements for a Receptionist

* A warm, friendly and enthusiastic personality

* A aim to exceed expectations of guests and colleagues

* An eye to seek improvements on standards and service

* An innovative and inspiring approach with a keen eye for detail

* Great organisational and effective communication skills

* Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft office packages

* Experience of working with Opera systems is desired (however full training will be given).

* Flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours
