The Terrace Restaurant offers guests 3AA Rosette fine dining cuisine with a seasonal menu inspired and driven by the superb natural larder of the New Forest, and includes spectacular produce straight from the restaurant’s organic kitchen garden. The restaurant is renowned for its food philosophy, utilising the best, seasonal, local produce to deliver expertly crafted dishes. With unprecedented interest in Staycations and UK weddings this Summer, we are now seeking an exceptionally polite and courteous receptionist to join our small Front of House team. You will provide a warm welcome and a prompt and efficient service, with the aim of always exceeding customer expectations. The role also involves overseeing reservations, managing banking processes and active collaboration with other departments. Ensuring our guests receive the highest standard of service is the most important aspect of the receptionist role, as you would expect.

Our ideal candidate will:

* Have a friendly, engaging personality

* Possess excellent communication skills

* Be highly organised with a keen eye for detail

* Have high levels of personal presentation

* Have a real passion for customer service and a focus on the guest experience

* Be flexible and committed to working in a team environment

* Demonstrate ability to adapt to changing situations

* Good understanding of the English language

* Have experience of working in a similar establishment or role

* Have experience of reception systems such as Opera/Fidelio (preferable)

The role is 45 hours per week (FT) or 27 hours per week (PT), working 5 or 3 days out of 7 (including weekends) on a rota basis.
