The Exciting Opportunity
The Reception Manager contributes to RBH Hospitality Management's goals and values by supporting the Operations Manager with managing a team of 9 team members who work within our busy Reception & Night operations in the Hampton by Hilton - London Gatwick Airport. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the department, overseeing shifts, managing guest expectations and delivering great guest satisfaction. This is a fundmental part of the job here, our guests need to be happy and satisfied! You will play a very important role in making that happen by being proactive and a focused, visible leader who can demonstrate a really confident approach to problem solving and service recovery.
Checking in and out guests, processing enquiries and responding to guest reviews and feedback is all part of the job. In addition, you must lead and train your team to process accurate billing, reservations requests, alongside cashier duties and regular brand standards training.
You will be required to act as Duty Manager on a rota basis. the successful applicant for this role will be able to display great leadership skills, deliver excellent customer service, have a positive "can do" attitude, demonstrating a proactive and planned approach to managing the team, with an enthusiastic approach to be willing to learn and show that they care.
Where Will You Be Working?
Hampton by Hilton, London Gatwick Airport is situated at the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport, which is the UK's second largest airport. With 194 guest bedrooms, restaurant and bar, the hotel also has a gym facility on site. The hotel has a Meeting Room facility for 16 people. We pride ourselves on investing and developing in our people and delivering outstanding customer service.
What Are We Looking For?
We're looking for an individual who can communicate well with others, can carry out instructions, is able to pay close attention to detail and will commit to providing outstanding service to our guests. You must be able to work in a fast paced busy environment and remain calm and professional in high service demand times.
You will be expected to be on the floor, demonstrating your ability as a strong leader - guiding the team and interacting with guests to ensure they have a great experience staying with us. You must be great problem solver and be the main "go to person" for guests and team members alike! We take pride in serving and you will be an brand ambassador in this aspect of the job.
Experience within the hotel industry and a customer facing role is essential, you will have previous experience in using the Hilton Property Management system and support systems that we use on a daily basis. Of course, additional support training will be provided relevant to the Hampton Brand and Hilton.
