The Exciting Opportunity

The main responsibility of the Purchase Ledger Specialist is to support the accounts payable function across the group of six hotels.

For all matters the Purchase Ledger Specialist reports directly to the Group Financial Reporting Manager. In addition to this reporting line there is an important relationship in terms of working in conjunction with the Administrators of the Hotels to ensure all the demands of finance are being met.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

* To ensure all invoices are accurately processed, approved, coded and posted.

* To process timely and accurate monthly supplier payment runs

* To ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms.

* Ongoing reconciliation of supplier statements

* Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries as required

* Responsibility for aged creditors management

* Assisting the Hotel Accountants with month / year end processing and audit queries

* Assisting the Group Financial Reporting Manager with cashflow forecasts

Where will you be working?

The role is based in our central finance office at The Imperial Hotel Blackpool.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an individual who has.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to and meet deadlines.

* Attention to detail.

* Good communication skills.

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

* Purchase Ledger experience essential

* Experience of handling group accounts / working across multiple companies / sites desirable

Finance qualifications are desirable but not essential.
