Who we are…

We are a collection of members' clubs, restaurants, hotels and cinemas, catering to those in the film, media, fashion and creative industries. The company has unique ventures throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Asia, with new openings planned globally.

Soho House is a space for its diverse membership and teams to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact.

Opportunities for all…

Soho House was created to bring diverse communities of people together, and we take the same approach when building our teams. We thrive on differences and believe it is critical to our success as a global company. Soho House is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that seeks to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We therefore encourage applications from all genders, races, religions, ages and sexual orientations, as well as parents, veterans, people living with disabilities, and any other groups that could bring diverse perspectives to our business.

The Role…

Soho House UK Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative, experienced Product Owner to help manage their next generation of digital community products across a variety of different functions and disciplines. As a Product Owner, the successful candidate will be an innovative, customer-focused leader with a growth mindset, who balances product intuition, creative problem solving and data-driven decision making.

We are looking for a pragmatic and strong product owner who will bring previous experience of a successful delivery of digital community app, possibly inside of a business where digital had not previously been at the operational core. Given aggressive growth plans, this is as much a hands-on project-based delivery role as it is a longer term and strategic function. The successful candidate will thrive within the entrepreneurial and high-growth culture that is Soho House. They will be key driver towards building a customer centric and ‘digital first’ approach within the context of Soho House today.

Soho House UK Ltd is a high growth company and fosters a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Creative thinking, flexibility, relationship skills and cross-discipline collaboration are essential. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant creative impact for the Soho House members and business through dynamic technologies.

As Product Owner, you will help drive products forward to deliver an ambitious roadmap for the year and lead a cross functional team, either onshore or offshore. To do all of this, we want great product minds who are eager to be a major part of helping to build great products that engage members, increase public conversion and help the company reach its business goals.

Critical to this role is deep experience in building digital communities. Successful dating and professional networking apps are good examples, where members connect with each other for a purpose.

Needless to say, launching scalable products to customers in a very fast-paced environment is part of your DNA. You can create a hypothesis and analyse the data to verify your direction and launch an MVP that is continually improved upon. You will be able to point to a portfolio of projects that you have led, which have made a difference and which you can demonstrate the results achieved. Dealing with ambiguity is a key skill that you have in your armoury.

You will be comfortable in a changing environment as the business pushes ahead with its digital strategy, especially in this ever-changing environment in which we find ourselves. On that point, you will need to be a self starter and motivate others through digital channels as home working will be in place for some time.

* Form a realistic balance between product-driven and timelines driven outcomes; underpinned by the digital transformation roadmap and wider business milestones
* Expertise in building a data-driven approach and discipline to product strategy, prioritization, and development
* Work with heads of engineering and design to align product, design, and engineering teams to improve cross-functional collaboration and communication
* Work closely with the design and engineering teams in conducting user research, validating product requirements, defining workflows, product architecture and UX design
* low ego and excellent collaboration skills

Requirements

* Customer first and customer obsessed
* You’re comfortable jumping onto different projects as they come along and dealing with ambiguity
* You have empathy with others
* Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders in the business, it’s a partnership after all
* You can provide a strategy for your products with a clear vision of where it needs to reach
* Be able to show a track record of releasing value at the earliest opportunity
* You’re prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the detail at all levels
* You can lead product workstreams from ideation through to implementation and handle all the hurdles along the way
* You love to lead cross functional teams
* Of course, you relish poring over data, research and feedback and know how to turn that into better products
* You must be open to suggestions from anyone, anywhere both internally and externally
* You can decipher engineering conversations and what that means for your product
* Write Epics/Stories clearly to ensure clarity and groom a backlog
* Optimise processes within your team and across the department to work like a well oiled machine
* You can work lean with a test and learn approach
* Create and track metrics to measure the effectiveness of your product
* Show strategic thinking to benefit the business with ideas outside of your immediate remit
* Show a clear understanding of the product lifecycle
* You will have great communication and influential skills.
