About The Role
Here at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) we’re recruiting for a Portfolio Revenue Manager with luxury hotel experience. This is a full-time position and offers the opportunity to be home-based/remotely based where you’ll be looking after a portfolio of hotels in Europe. You will live in the UK or anywhere in Europe and be fluent English. The Portfolio Revenue Manager will work closely with our managed and franchised hotels ensuring they are fully utilising tools and systems to maximise revenue within their geographical area. The role will include monitoring of performance and delivery or training to the hotels. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and wants to play an integral role with Revenue Management and look after a portfolio of hotels. You need to have previous experience working in the luxury hotels market.If you would like to become a part of a leading FTSE 100 company and think you have the skills we are looking for, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:• Train company managed hotels (CMH) or franchised hotels to fully utilise available tools and systems to maximise revenues• Consult with assigned hotels in the development and management of revenue/yield strategies encompassing all facets of pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, business mix, selling strategies and tactics in accordance with worldwide best practices• Facilitate the successful implementation of revenue management strategies throughout the region/brand and from the region/brand to corporate staff• Investigate and communicate new ways to capture optimal revenue potentials• Provide feedback to Global Brand Services/Revenue Management to ensure hotel needs and revenue-generating improvements are incorporated into system enhancements or best practices• Consult with key managerial groups and applicable personnel (i.e. Franchisees, General Managers, Hotel Revenue Managers, etc.) to identify hotel issues/concerns in regards to revenue improvement plans• Monitor, identify and persuasively communicate needed changes to existing tactical and strategic plans to optimise revenue potential and RGI position.• Audit key/assigned hotel strategies and tactics to ensure revenue maximization is realised, best practices are utilised, marketing program compliance is enforced and appropriate channel distribution is realized • Develop and/or deliver training programs to support revenue management objectives and strategies as needed
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have progressive, work-related experience in hotel operations management, revenue management or consulting. This includes knowledge and experience in hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimisation and selling strategies.To be successful in this role, you will be fluent in English with experience in the luxury industry and market trends as they relate to revenue opportunities, you will also have demonstrable ability to drive revenue. Knowledge of another European language is beneficial however not essential. We’re looking for a knowledgeable professional with an ability to collaborate and work well with teams/senior management/staff, Similarly, you will have demonstrated effective conflict management/resolution and negotiation/persuasion skills to persuade GM’s, and other hotel representatives to modify or implement various corporate-sponsored programs and initiatives.As the role is field based you will need to be organised and able to manage your own workload without supervision, reporting back with regular updates and information as required.
