The Role…

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Ops Assistant (Logistics / Shipping) to provide day to day support to the Operations department at Soho House & Co. You will manage the freight operations by maintaining a close relationship with nominated freight forwarders, external suppliers, and internal departments. Acting as the point of contact for freight related requests and queries. You will be responsible for arranging, controlling and maintaining all freight functions. You will also be assisting with photoshoots, pop-ups, and ad hoc visits to Soho House sites to support with deliveries or organisation for launches/ parties to maintain an effective service across the business.

Main Duties:

* Manage and maintain an effective freight operation for both import, export, and international stock transfers.
* Develop relationships with current forwarders and run bench marking activities to test the market.
* Support in organising documentation for freight transit and customs clearance by liaising with our suppliers, internal departments, and third-party shipping partners
* Work closely with senior management and product development teams to ensure new suppliers and product samples are shipped effectively to meet business needs.
* Create and develop status reports to be used internally by other departments and senior team members.
* Attend and support deliveries to photoshoots and new site launches
* Offer financial support to the operations team; cataloguing invoices received against quotes supplied and ensuring all costs have sufficient backup

Requirements

* Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in International Logistics, including customs procedures
* An eye for detail is essential
* Experience of invoice processing is preferable
* Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
* Strong at relationship building and stakeholder management
* Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel and Outlook
