Sopwell House is a 4 star Georgian country house hotel that believes in impeccable,

Brasserie, Conservatory Bar, Cocktail Lounge, 14 function suites, Spa and Gym. Enabling

guests to escape from it all, but still within easy reach of London, St Pancras and Luton

hospitality seriously. Scope & General Purpose of Job To ensure that all guests receive a warm, memorable and personalised welcome to Sopwell
House, setting the scene for their stay.
The Night Duty Manager will supervise and control the operation of the Night department,
ensuring that skills, standards are trained, demonstrated, maintained throughout the team
and staff are able to carry out their duties to the agreed departmental standard.
Main Responsibilities  Ensure that the service offered to the guest is personal and memorable. That guest

needs are anticipated and requests followed up. Build relationships with guests,

ensuring that they want to return to Sopwell House.  Managing the night team and night operations  Check-in, check-out, payment transactions, guest queries, telephone handling,
foreign currency, reservation handling, cash handling, shift opening and closing
procedures, wake up calls, newspaper orders, night audit procedures.  Maintaining all equipment and work areas, including key and cash security  Following all company Health and Safety guidelines  Ensure all access to the hotel is secure as required by hotel policy and procedure.  Any other relevant duties required for this position. The ideal Night Manager will have the following  A minimum of 2 years managerial experience within a 4*/5* hotel  Previous experience of running a night audit  Duty Management  Opera user
