In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Meeting & Events Sales in The May Fair

The Role

Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Edwardian Hotels London overall mission, vision, values and strategies
Management & leadership of the “Planning Team”
To manage final details of events
Maintain effective and appropriate liaison with clients throughout the planning process, coordinating planning site inspections and menu tastings where appropriate.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with operational departments across all properties and ensure they are provided with accurate and timely event orders, ensuring a thorough handover is administered to appropriate operational personnel for all banqueting business on a timely basis prior to Event.
Works closely with enquiries and conversion team to ensure appropriate allocation and handover of contracted events to the team
To prepare proposals efficiently and effectively.
To Invite all clients on a full show round of the property
To ensure all rebooking of meetings and events is actioned
To ensure all final details of each booking is updated accordingly – (Timings, dietary requirements, bedrooms, menus, drinks, any special requirements, etc)
Send invoices and copy invoices to clients and agents

Key Requirements

Understands the strategic positioning of all group hotels & the company within the competitive market
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and IT applications: Opera, My Hr World
Local area knowledge, including local competition
Product knowledge
Excellent command of English language
Be aware of latest products in the market
Confidence and the ability to communicate & establish rapport
Collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
Strong negotiation skills
