JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN DUTIES
- Ensures that all enquiries and bookings for events and high value groups are handled efficiently, within service level agreement response times to maximise sales revenue and overall profitability of the hotel
- Create a process for turned down enquiry reviews, so as the client is managed and and future revenues are safeguarded
- Diary to be managed in a commercial way, monitoring and reacting to enquiry trends and conversion.
- Providing strategic alerts for forecasting when demands are trending
- Provide holistic approach to quotes, using space creatively and maximising revenues
- Encourages usage of all facilities in the hotel by M&E and Groups guests in order to maximise sales
- Keeps function diaries and records accurate and up to date
- Ensures that the M&E and handle all communications from guests within the required time frame and as per the Brand Standards
- Attend the weekly Operations Meeting to ensure details from the function sheets are correctly interpreted by our Operational colleagues and our customers expectations are delivered
- Review new revenue streams, taking a strategic view to maximise revenues
- Be aware of glh Hotels group as a whole and refer details or pass on information to other hotels and clients where appropriate
- Takes accountability for departmental forecasts and budgets
- Ensure online content and presence is up to date on Brand and Third Party websites.
- Ensure group and allocation inventory is controlled and monitored.
- Strategizing for the future, looking into the budget and setting a business plan as to how this can be achieved
- Working on sales & marketing campaigns throughout the year for both new and existing clients and recording ROI for these
- Creating and evaluating reports on conversion, conference room usage, REVPAR, ARR , profit conversion and top business account productivity
- Participate in client /agency visits to develop relationship
- Attend Roadshows / Trade Shows/ Fam trips
- Proactively call all existing, lapsed and lost business to drive revenue
- To assist with the implantation of new technology to enhance the customer journey
