As our Pastry Chef you will lead a team of Pastry CDP's and Commis Chefs in the Kitchen to head up the Pastry kitchen of our luxury London hotel. With an award-winning afternoon tea on offer, we are looking for a flexible and dedicated senior Chef who enjoys working as part of a team.

Within this role, you will be tasked with delivering fine dining style plated desserts for lunch and dinner, an elegant afternoon tea service, as well as conference and events catering. In addition to the day to day responsibilities within the pastry kitchen, you will take on afternoon tea menu development as a project to develop further in 2020.

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and bright individual with strong organisational skills, and a real passion for fresh and seasonal products. Our ideal candidate will currently be working in a rosette or Michelin star restaurant or with a Hotel background.

The ideal candidate will be:

* Creative, hardworking, methodical and organised individual with good attention to detail.

* Open to learning and development.

* Enthusiastic about taking on new projects namely new menus for Afternoon Teas, A la Carte, Room Amenities

* Able to standardize recipes, calculate costs and use the software provided for the purpose.

* Work closely with Senior kitchen management team

* Recruit, hire and train Assistants or Junior Chefs in pastry section

* Check stock levels and order accordingly from suppliers

* Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment with Knowledge of health and safety procedures for kitchens and food preparation in pastry sections

* Ability to work autonomously, but also with wider team(kitchen, restaurant and hotel staff members)
