The Principal London

The Principal London will open early 2018 following a multi-million pound refurbishment from top to toe.

Originally opened in 1898 by the Frederick Hotels Company, and designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll, The Principal London is a listed, landmark ‘grande dame’ that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The Principal London will combine the rich heritage of the original hotel with modern touches, vibrant bars and buzzing restaurants.

Head of Group Sales

This Head of Group Sales role includes:

* Working closely with key clients to drive business

* Keeping track of London market trends and adapting sales strategy when necessary

* Managing a selection of key hotel accounts and some geographical markets and partnerships

* Supporting junior members of the Sales team

* Proactively carrying out business development activity

* Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops and sales trips as required

* The role requires flexibility in working hours and location and the ability to manage time and resources across a large geographical area

* Supporting the promotion of other hotels within the group

As our Head of Group Sales you will:

* Have a proven track record within the hospitality industry within the London market

* Have a distinctive blend of confidence and personality to help give our guests an unforgettable experience

* Make intuitive decisions in favour of the guest and maintain the highest standards of service

* Have a naturally Warm and Generous personality

* Be articulate, confident and polished

* be a good negotiator and ability to close business

* Have good attention to detail and planning abilities

* Be willing to travel as part of the role, both nationally and internationally to assist the hotel to deliver its revenue objectives

* Possess a luxury mind-set, with an in-depth working knowledge of the London luxury hotel scene. You will be used to meeting or exceeding your sales targets

* You will have fantastic people skills and an intuitive ability to sell

* Excellent command of spoken and written English along with demonstrable ability to communicate and influence credibly
