Being a Memory Maker as a Head Host / Hostess

In this role, you will become part of the Edwardian family and work within Food and Beverage in Radisson Blu Edwardian Mercer Street

The Role

To manage the team of host/ess

To escort guests to their table in an elegant and professional manner

To assist guests with their coats and bags if required, issuing the guest with a ticket for collection at the end of their experience

Have a disciplined approach to table return times and communicating effectively with the Floor Manager to ensure tables turnovers run smoothly and efficiently

Answer the telephone in a polite and professional manner and deal with any telephone reservations/enquiries efficiently

To ensure company procedures and standards are maintained to ensure consistent delivery of service

To serve F and B customers in a way that makes them feel special

Ensure reservations are taken in accordance with the Hotel standards

To check and maintain reservations for the restaurant including corresponding and follow up on all reservations and enquiries for the restaurant and bar

Works closely with the Restaurant and Bar Manager, Head Barman/Waiter/ess and Floor

Assumes responsibility to gather information about each guest in order to update client database, and uses details to ensure a truly personal service

Keeps up to date with health and safety regulations, and adheres to emergency procedures

Key Requirements

The Requirements

Communicate effectively and respectfully to guests on all levels

Is able to use IT applications, including Opentable, E-mail, Micros

Excellent local area awareness

Confident ability to communicate and establish rapport

Has a good level of Food and beverage product knowledge

Has a good command of the English language
