We currently have a vacancy for Service Associate – Guest Relations joining our team in Guests Relations.

The Role

Under the direct supervision of the Service Leader - Guest Relations, the Service Associate – Guest Relations, is part of the Guest Relations team operations to provide efficient, courteous professional assistance to guests at the hotel. He/she will take care of all VIP guests and coordinate with all concerned departments to fulfill guest needs and requests, being proactive at all times. Will also assist & support guest registration, guest check-out, cashiering and foreign exchange.

Thereby ensuring implementation of and adhering to policies and procedures in line with the standards of Shangri-La’s Hotel at The Shard. Must be a superb gatekeeper in handling guest enquiries through voice, email or any other means. The first point of contact on many occasions and the “face” and “voice” of Shangri-La hotel at The Shard, London.

Essential Requirements

* Neat, well groomed

* Pleasant disposition

* Proficiency in written and spoken English

* College graduate

* 0-1 years Front Desk/ Guest Relations function in five star 150+ bedroom hotel

* Self-starter

* Confident

* Tactful

* High customer service orientation

* Role model

* Good / effective training skills

* Willing to work extended duty hours

Other Requirements

* Proficiency in second language

* 1 year as SA Guest Relations in a 150+ bedroom deluxe hotel

* Opera PMS experience
