The Principal London

The Principal London will open early 2018 following a multi-million pound refurbishment from top to toe.

Originally opened in 1898 by the Frederick Hotels Company, and designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll, The Principal London is a listed, landmark ‘grande dame’ that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The Principal London will combine the rich heritage of the original hotel with modern touches, vibrant bars and buzzing restaurants.

Guest Relations Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Guest Relations Manager to join The Principal London. As our Guest Relations Manager, you will form strong relationships with guests through modern and intuitive service, acting as a point of contact throughout our guests stay. You will play an important role in bringing our brand promises to the forefront of the guest service delivery. This is an exciting time to join our pre-opening team, and develop a team to provide a warm and distinctive guest experience.

As the Guest Relations Manager your role will include:

* Having lobby presence to meet and greet guests with warmth, directing and escorting them as needed

* Assist with check-in and check-out as and when required

* Act as a point of contact for VIP guests, ensuring a smooth experience throughout the guest journey starting from pre arrival to post departure

* Ensure strong hotel product knowledge to confidentily showcase hotel facilities

* Having exceptional knowledge of the local area, and what is going on within the city at any time

* Ensure consistent knowledge of the hotels quality standards and ensure the guest experience is second to none for all guests

* Liaison with all departments to ensure the team are well informed about our guests to create a personalised guest experience that is continued throughout all departments

* Finding creative ways to deliver guest experiences that are Distinctive

As Guest Relations Manager you will:

* have previous managerial experience in a dynamic and exceptional level of guest service role, preferable in a luxury 4 or 5-star hotel

* be able to anticipate guest needs and surpass expectations to enhance the guest experience

* Have a distinctive blend of confidence and personality to help give our guests an unforgettable experience

* Be capable of making Intuitive decisions in favour of the guest and maintain the highest standards of service

* Have a naturally Warm and Generous personality

* Remain calm whilst working under pressure

* Possess the proven ability to lead a team

* Have excellent communication skills
