About us

A pivotal role in the Group FP&A CoE team, driving creation of executive reporting and supporting investor relations with both reporting and ad-hoc analysis. You will prepare financial performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities and offer solutions and drive reporting of the Full Year Group result. This role allows you to see the global performance of IHG and exposes you to multiple stakeholders and demanding analysis.

Your day to day

* Provide day to day financial management and analytics to support Group FP&A, Finance business partners and business stakeholders to understand and drive business performance.

* Manage delivery of activities including reporting on Group performance; System size and pipeline analysis; reporting on Metrics; creation of exec reporting and supporting investor relations during quarterly announcements with reporting and ad-hoc analysis.

* Incentive scheme tracking.

* Prepare financial performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities and offer solutions. Manage the Full Year Group forecast and work closely with CoE team to understand changes.

* Deputise for SFM and lead and drive Group team to ensure deliverable deadlines are met and other team members are supported and developed.

* Be flexible to provide ad-hoc reports and analysis, incl. scenario modelling to support decision making.

* Build strong working relationships with Finance business partners and wider CoE team and collaborate to deliver high quality, relevant insight.

* Recommend process changes to improve IHG's financial performance and financial controls.

* Act as an escalation point for audit queries.

What we need from you

* Finance or business-related education. Preferably holding a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

* Experience as a finance manager, with experience leading both a working group and managing stakeholders.

* Understanding the trading metrics and key drivers which impact operations revenue and cost.

* Able to independently manage and deliver outputs, incl. managing stakeholders' expectations and junior colleagues.

* Proficient user in Oracle, Essbase, reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint.

* Ability to prioritise and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.

* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

* Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
