Our Corporate Responsibility team
The Global Data Analytics Manager role sits in IHG’s global Corporate Responsibility team which has members based in our offices around the world, including the US, UK and China, and is led by our VP of Corporate Responsibility.
Your day to day
We are looking for a Global Data Analytics Manager to join our Global Corporate Responsibility team. This would be a great role for someone with 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, looking for a unique challenge in the CR field. In this role you would be comfortable handling vast amounts of data, create detailed, bespoke reports and user friendly dashboards, and provide key insights to directly inform our CR strategy and support the achievement of our short and long term goals. You would be a global point of contact for all Corporate Responsibility data, insights and reporting needs, as well as facilitating our global disaster relief activation process and managing the CR budgeting process.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Establish global Center of Excellence for CR data analytics and insights (environmental and social).
* Lead and develop overall CR data management strategy, in support of IHG’s long-term CR goals.
* Develop relevant dashboards, reports, scorecards, actionable data insights and recommendations, at both global and regional level.
* Provide performance analysis, interpretation and communication to support business decision-making and strategy implementation.
* Provide data to fulfil sustainability reporting requirements for key customers including HCMI and HWMI requests.
* Respond to ad-hoc data requests and reporting needs, both internal and external, as needed.
* Support projects to replace the Green Engage system and automate utilities data entry across all IHG hotels globally.
* Build strong partnerships with key internal teams, such as regional Metrics and Data Analytics teams, Engineering, Finance etc.
* Develop and execute globally consistent back-end process for disaster relief activations including coordination, reporting, and payment.
* CR Budget responsibility including facilitating the monthly CRPA process.
What we need from you
Education:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of work (data analytics/ numeric subject/ sustainability) or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Experience:
* 2-4 years progressive work experience.
* Highly organised, analytical and strong attention to detail.
* Highly motivated, pro-active with ideas and suggestions and can work independently, adapt to change and learn quickly.
* Ability to translate complex information into simple, visual, clear, concise communications and reports tailored to target audiences.
* Experience in enhancing data management systems and developing strategy recommendations based on data insights.
* Strong ability to collaborate effectively in a complex matrix organisation, and work well with a virtual team.
* Some work experience (or qualification/ education) in environmental sustainability would be an advantage.
Technical skills & knowledge:
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, Tableau and other relevant data management platforms.
* Relevant programming experience with statistical and database software and data mining tools (Essbase, SQL Server, SAS, Business Objects)
