Job Summary

Could you play a vital role in creating a memorable stay for our Guests by ensuring they receive the warmest of welcomes and are well looked after from the moment they arrive right through to check out?

We are looking for a Front Office Associate who is enthusiastic, welcoming and is dedicated to making our Guests’ stay Brilliant.

In addition to the huge amount of general York Marriott Hotel Benefits, as part of the Front Office team you will also receive:

Hours of Work:

The Front Office Associate will work 40 hours per week, working 5 shifts over 7 (to include weekends and bank holidays)

Rate of Pay is £7.80 per hour.

Job Tasks to include:

Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed. Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks. Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

We are ideally looking for someone with:

Excellent Customer service skills & local area knowledge

A good level of skill with the computer

*

Cash Handling experience and numerical skills

*

The ability to deal with difficult situations in a calm and professional manner at all times.
