The Role…

Provide day to day management of the logistics department for Soho House Retail. Managing the relationship with Freight Forwarders, maintaining sound relationships with all internal departments and understanding their logistical needs as well as tracking all shipments within the supply chain from point of supply up to delivery to customer, ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved promptly.

Main Duties:

* Arranging all global freight through our forwarders, working closely with suppliers and internal colleagues to provide updates and tracking of all shipments

* Manage the freight budget with responsibility for monthly reporting analysis and communication to other business departments to support their understanding of Operational costs associated with their channel, in line with planned budgets

* Work with internal and external stakeholders to stay up to date with current legislation and export documentation requirements to ensure compliance, particularly in relation to Brexit
* Review & assess current process, identify cost reduction through the management and control of costs
* Line management of Ops assistant
* Work alongside senior management in order to build and strengthen relationships with current forwarders and operating partners

* Working closely with the senior leadership to develop the broader Supply Chain strategy and Looking for innovative new ways of doing things, where scope for improvement is identified

Requirements

* You must have a strong freight forwarding background and demonstrable understanding of import and export operations and requirements including commodity codes and customs clearance requirements

* Minimum of 3 years operational experience in retail logistics/supply chain
* People management skills
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities
* Excellent communication skills and calm under pressure
* Highly organised with strong project management skills
* Must be proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel
