Your day to day

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to lead statutory reporting and group reporting for the AA and GC regions. This role focuses primarily on statutory reporting in the AA&GC regions including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. You will report to the Director, Financial Reporting AA & GC and work alongside two other Financial Reporting Managers.Key responsibilities include:- Lead the statutory reporting audit process for specific APAC entities.- Oversee the audit process within the company’s Global Business Service Centre (“BSC”) based in Gurgaon, India and be the escalation point for any audit issues.- Preparation of financial statements for these entities.- Audit co-ordination with the external auditors (in overseas locations) and provide audit schedules on specified areas such as investment impairment testing, analytical review of a legal entity.- Ensure audited financial statements are signed in a timely fashion to meet the statutory filing requirements.- Assist Director of Financial Reporting in assessing the implication of any new IFRS standards for the regions.- Assist in the quarterly group reporting submissions to group team which includes a consolidation of all legal entities with the regions via Hyperion HFM system and subject to internal governance and control procedures.- Other ad hoc tasks to assist the team in general to complete statutory reporting and half year reporting obligations.- Oversee the completion and lodgement of statistical surveys which are mainly prepared by the BSC.- Adhoc project work related to process improvement.- Help manage the audit transition process from EY to PwC.- Co-ordinating accounting and reporting of major transactions with relevant finance and tax teams.

What we need from you

- ACA or equivalent accounting qualification.- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required in a relevant discipline.- Minimum 2+ years of post-qualification experience in a financial reporting environment, either within the accountancy profession or in industry.- Be fully conversant in IFRS- Experience of working with consolidated financial statements under IFRS.- Experience of working through complex technical matters.- Prior experience in dealing with auditors.- Strong Excel skills.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Problem identifying and resolving skills.- A self-starter, with advanced organisation skills.- Deadline and result driven.- “can-do” attitude and ability to aim higher.- Advocate of strong control environment.- Team player and able to collaborate with others.
