Your day to day

This role will ensure that our hotels operate effectively, efficiently and as profitably as possible specifically focusing on key markets such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia.Given the region this role will oversee, you will need to be a fluent Arabic speaker. However, this position can be based in either London, UK OR Dubai, UAE.You will align with the VP Operations, Field and Commercial Operations teams to drive distribution and relationship management through the utilisation and embedding of common operational, commercial tools, processes and procedures.Key responsibilities:• Deliver performance driving virtual consulting sessions for managed hotel General Managers focused around IHG winning tools, best practices, implementation of new standards and legal requirements, and general hotel operations. • Develop and monitor the performance of financial and operational plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel(s); monitor the annual budgets and makes recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyalty.• Assist Area Development Executives with new property marketing and financial analysis, due diligence and hotel positioning against the competitive set.• Ensure clear focus on GOP considerations and design robust plans alongside hotel GM to activate.• Research and analyse hotel performance to design hotel level strategy and implementation of IHG tools/programmes for a select number of hotels and/or metrics. • Proactively contact and consult with General Managers and colleagues on specific revenue, brand and/or guest experience opportunities in line with IMEA Operations Strategy and centralised training events, in order to drive improved performance, tool adoption, programs and best practices. • Manage internal resources when necessary to resolve issues impacting performance. • Build strong and effective rapport with hotel leaders whilst serving as a resource to provide information and refer to appropriate speciality areas for service.•Cascade all agreed performance action plans to relevant Operations teams to ensure alignment and follow-up.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience• Fluent Arabic speaker is a critical requirement for this role• Able to demonstrate external industry knowledge and continuous leaning, keeping up to date with current trends• International hotel brand strategic Operations and sales and marketing experience• Experience in Hotel Operations /Sales and Marketing in a senior management role • Clear project management capability• Experience participating in an industry task force• Good working knowledge of IHG systems and the ability to understand and drive outcomes within the IHG network• In-depth understanding of the markets and the context of operating in a diverse region
