ROSEWOOD DOHA TO OPEN IN QATAR IN 2022

Housed in two striking towers inspired by the coral reefs in the seas surrounding Qatar, Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha will consist of an ultra-luxury hotel with 185 exquisite guestrooms and sumptuous suites, 173 serviced apartments for longer-term stays and 300 residences available for purchase.

The hotel will be one of the city’s most dynamic culinary destinations with a collection of eight innovative outlets, including a bistro, lobby lounge, coffee shop/deli, three specialty restaurants, cigar lounge and a lifestyle entertainment lounge. Featuring a 1,500-square-meter ballroom, the property will showcase multiple private event venues, anchored around sleek interiors and state-of-the-art technology, which will transform ordinary events into the extraordinary. The hotel will also introduce Sense, A Rosewood Spa, offering total discretion and relaxation, along with a fitness center featuring state-of-the-art training equipment.

Role

We are currently looking for a Director of Sales and Maketing to join our Executive team at Rosewood Rosewood Doha. The Director of Sales and Marketing reports directly to the Managing Director and is is responsible to determining and implementing sales strategies aimed at all market segments to maximise hotel revenues.

Key expectations of this role:

• To ensure maximum occupancy of rooms, food and beverage outlets, event spaces, and all other operating outlets.

• Develop and oversee the marketing and communications strategy of the hotel ensuring maximum.

• Spearhead the strategic direction of the hotel’s integrated marketing, public relations and communications plan.

• Review direct competition and ensure complete awareness by all sales team of competitor’s activities at all times.

• Stay up to date by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.

• Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

• Develop and supervise the Sales team; recognising training opportunities and maintaining successful communications within the team.

• Work closely with other Executive Committee members in a supportive manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel.

Profile

• Experience in a similar role, in an opening hotel is highly preferred.

• Excellent analytical, financial management skills and the ability to manage complex budgets.

• Experience of leading and managing the performance of Sales and Marketing function including Sales, Events and Marketing.

• Possess an in-depth knowledge of the market, both locally and internationally, and an ability to identify and monitor trends in the market.

• Experience building and nurturing strong relationships with all associates in the hotel.

• Proven experience of managing various stakeholders, including external partners and owners.
