The Exciting Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy General Manager to join an amazing team at the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock. Reporting to the General Manager we are looking for an individual who has a strong background in F&B, preferably in branded hotels and can lead and influence a team of HOD's with both commercial awareness and a guest focused attitude.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced F&B Manager looking to get into their first Ops role or an existing DGM/Ops Manager in a smaller hotel looking to further their skill set within F&B.

Your key areas of responsibility will include;

* Day to day management of the F&B department (there is no F&B Manager within the structure at the hotel) and supporting the other operational heads of department with their areas and teams

* Review reports and P&L to determine the performance of your direct reports against the budget/forecast

* To have a high profile presence within the operations, leading from the front and motivating the team to ensure they operate to the highest quality standards of product and services

* Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members in the hotel, and assist with compliance of hotel policies and procedure to drive Health and Safety across the hotel to achieve positive Health and safety audits

* Conduct regular operations team meeting, Quality meetings, FLS meetings and driving a great working environment for teams to thrive in

* Assist the General Manager in the development and communication of the departmental strategies and goals and deputise in the absence of the General Manager

* Communicate and enforce policies and procedures

What Are We Looking For?

To be considered for this role you will need:

* A background in F&B and 5+ years experience working in supervisory/managerial roles within (preferably) branded hotels

* Excellent organisation and time management skills with an eye for details and ability to use your own initiative

* Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a positive, can do attitude and be highly motivated with a drive to succeed to be the best

* A customer focus with commitment to delivering exceptional levels of guest service

* Flexibility with regards to working hours and willingness to work weekends where necessary

The Holiday Inn Brentford Lock nestled overlooking the scenic waterways of the Grand Union Canal. This four-star hotel is located in west London and has been created for comfort and style and offers a warm and welcoming service to all guests. The hotel has 6 modern meeting rooms and 133 en-suite bedrooms; it is the first in Europe to have a revolutionary open lobby concept. With good transport links, the hotel can be easily accessed by public transport. Brentford train station is about 10 minutes' walk to the hotel. Our employees have been playing a tremendous part in the hotel and our team success, from our employee engagement being above 89%.

With the largest banquet facilities in our portfolio with 12,500 sq. ft., we were awarded in 2016 a Gold accreditation for overall satisfaction by BDRC, ranking us in the top 10 in the UK.
