The Grand Hall, with its ornate ceilings and dramatic chandeliers creates an impressive event space for up to 750 guests theatre style and 1,500 guests for a drinks reception. Outside, on the 5th floor, an exclusive roof terrace, with views of the city, is available for summer parties and receptions. Conference and Events Sales Executive

What is the main purpose of the role?

As Conference and Events Sales Executive, you will fully contribute to the growth of the Conference & Events business in the London Region, maximising occupancy and revenue, through proactive selling and effectively converting enquiries into sales. Also, you will ensure all clients and potential clients receive a polite, professional and efficient service, ensuring all venue standards are maintained and all current legislation is adhered to.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To take bookings for all Conference & Events business, as per the venue standards.

To ensure bookings are managed to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue.

To upsell all Conference and Events Equipment, Food and Beverage and other venue facilities when taking bookings.

To accurately input all clients requests into Opera.

To assist the client with any special requests.

To assist the administration team in sending out and follow up of all contracts for the Conference Rooms, ensuring the venue and De Vere standards are maintained.

To identify all sales opportunities and effectively convert into bookings.

With assistance from the C&E Enquiry Manager, to plan and manage seasonal peaks and business trends to ensure the maximisation of occupancy, revenue and profit for the venue.

To assist with the organisation and booking of appointments and Fam Trips with potential business clients.

To carry out Fam Trips with potential clients as per the venue standards.

To liaise with the administration team and follow up all potential clients that have been sent proposal packs.

To liaise with the accounts department and assist where necessary in the collection of all outstanding payments.

To act in a professional and polite manner to all guests and customers at all times.

To ensure all confirmed bookings receive a contract, with a sign copy received.

To ensure that a method of payment is agreed with the clients and credit is maintained in line with the De Vere standard.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience of event enquiry handling of show rounds would be ideal, alongside some experience in what mystery show round requirements would entail. You will be results driven and process orientated, with a sense of urgency about achieving objectives through structured action plans and with little supervision.

We are looking for a real customer focused professional, who is ready to take responsibility for driving awareness of the Principal Hotel Company across all sectors. For this reason, you must be able to demonstrate that you are an influencer across all customer types, with clear experience and results in the conference training market.
