To assist in the production of all food requirements for a relevant section, under the supervision of the Head Chef and other senior chef’s, ensuring that the products are to a consistent standard and all hygiene requirements are carried out in full.

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:


To ensure that all tasks given by the Head Chef, and other senior chef’s, are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standard


To ensure that communication is maintained with all the kitchen team.


To ensure that all food handled within the section is handled in an hygienic manner


Ensure that all current legislation – Health, Safety and Hygiene is followed


To assist in the running of the section with the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef


To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum in order to achieve the GP


Ensure that all Health, Safety and Food Hygiene legislation is adhered to


Follows all company’s policies and procedures.


* Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.

* Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.



Previous experience working within a Kitchen or similar environment

Skills and Knowledge


Strong Communication skills




Pro-active and reliable


Able to work alone and within a team

Education or Certification


Good level of English essential


706 1 and 2 minimum or equivalent NVQ’s


Basic Food Hygiene
