JOB SUMMARY

To help the running of the Leisure Club on a day-to-day basis.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

Previous experience within a similar style of operation preferred but not essential

Skills and Knowledge

*

Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

*

Pro-active and reliable

*

Able to work alone and within a team

*

Flexible hours in line with business needs

*

Must be well presented and have excellent personal hygiene

Education or Certification

*

Good level of English essential

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

1.

To follow opening and closing procedures.

2.

To supervise the running of the pool and all leisure facilities ensuring customers are welcomed and appropriately cared for in accordance with the hotel standard.

3.

To be responsible for the general hygiene and cleanliness in the leisure complex, ensuring all statutory and company regulations are adhered to.

4.

To be responsible for the safety of both clients and staff within the leisure complex, ensuring all statutory and company regulations are adhered to.

5.

To ensure all equipment and facilities are always kept to the required standard for clients and that the Leisure Club rules are strictly adhered to at all times.

6.

To ensure towels and toiletries in the changing room and showers are continuously replenished and that they are kept neat and clean at all times.

7.

To ensure that an ongoing statistical report is maintained, compiled on a shift basis from the visitors book in order to work out business trends for staffing levels.

8.

To ensure that the Leisure Complex is staffed to meet the needs of the business.

9.

To be conversant with all plant and machinery in relation to: Plant Room, Lockers, Steam Room, and Gymnasium.

10.

Small items of maintenance to be reported to the maintenance department by the log procedure on a daily basis.

11.

To carry out your duties in accordance with the company Health & Safety policy and all fire procedures.

12.

Responsibility for stocks within the complex.

13.

All charges during the day have to be accounted for on a daily basis.

14.

Float drawn on a daily basis and accounted for.

15.

Till agrees to cash sales on a daily basis and balanced each night and paid into reception before locked up.

16.

To deal efficiently with all telephone and personal enquires and to take membership enquiries.

17.

To be responsible for the control of entry to all leisure members, i.e. checking membership cards and checking residents’ key cards, and to ensure that all guests are registered in registration book.

18.

To be fully aware of the Accident Reporting Procedure, Maintenance Fault Reporting Procedure, Fire Policy.

19.

All Marriott policies on cash, key and all controls are adhered to and followed consistently.

20.
