Job Description

The job in a nutshell

To be an integral part of Travelodge’s SME customer retention strategy. You will be responsible for growing revenue from a portfolio of business customers. You will achieve this through developing strong relationships with your clients, understanding their business & accommodation needs in order to develop the appropriate strategy to grow Travelodge market share. This is an office based sales role but when appropriate you will meet face to face with customers.

What you’ll be doing

* Grow YoY revenue from a portfolio of accounts in line with quarterly growth targets

* Identify and create opportunities within existing and new accounts accounts to upsell using appropriate tools and strategies

* Develop existing commercial relationships through delivering strategic sales plans per Account

* Support overall Sales Team strategic plans for this channel

* Report on performance of accounts weekly, deliver annual development plans identifying opportunities and risks

* Record activity using the CRM tool to show KPI’s are being achieved

* Support new hotel openings with sales activity as requested within the targeted sales area

* Attend monthly sales activity review meetings with the BD Team Manager. Providing weekly reports with ongoing market intelligence detailing competitor activity and rate offering within the segment

* Build relationships with internal departments including Group Bookings Desk, Revenue, Sales Support, and Hotel Op’s

* Face to face meetings with accounts where opportunity is identified

* To support the achievement of budgeted targets. Targets will be set on both a quarterly and annual basis

What we’ll expect from you

To succeed in the role, you’ll bring your natural ability to build relationships and desire to work in a fast paced, target driven environment. You’ll be comfortable calling customers and managing the ongoing relationship with them.

* Sales experience essential

* MS Office to a good standard. Other systems are used, but training will be given

* Presentation skills

* Excellent timekeeping and time management

* Results driven, self-motivated and proactive

* Ability to work under pressure

* Has good attention to detail

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Hotel sales experience a preference but not essential

* Results driven individual looking for the opportunity to make a difference in a key market role

* Above average verbal/numeric reasoning skills

* Ability to coordinate sales activities across different functions within Travelodge, ensuring that all stakeholders are fully aware of any sales activity
